moleskine notebooks aren't nearly as cool or well-made as they are given credit for. Here is a list of American-made and recycled paper notebooks that do good and look good at the same time.

Hand drawn and written pages, that could be used as a book of architectural buildings. The entire thing is so beautiful and neat, that I can see it being printed and used as the beginning or an encyclopedia of Heritage buildings, around Europe and eventually, around the world. The Turkish Artist and Architect, that created these lovely urban illustrations is Oğuzhan Çengel. Make sure you press the images to enlarge them, (not the first one), so that you don't miss any of the wonderful details and colors that Çengel, so expertly applied to every part of the page, in these artist's sketchbooks. Raise your hand, Pandas who still have a notebook! (A handful of hands slowly come up.) Now, raise your hand if you write in that notebook! While we listen to the humming silence, I have to admit that in the past week, I scribbled out a single post-it note with my groceries list. The fact is obvious: typing has pretty much replaced the good, old and beautiful art of handwriting. (I am not looking at you, doctors!)
Let’s teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students about physical properties of matter. What are physical properties of matter? One of the biggest casualties of the digital age has been the fine skill of handwriting, and the opportunities to show off one's artsy and satisfyingly precise script are diminishing every day. When was the last time you picked up a pen?

Explore the world with my Geoexplorers projects! Perfect for little hands, this do-it-yourself project will let everyone get involved! The project consists of three pieces of paper, two with Stonehenge blocks, and one of the base. Just print the base out on green paper, and print the two stone sheets on white paper (or even better, some stone-looking paper used for scrap-booking!). Each little stone is printed on both sides, with a number on the bottom. Have your students cut out each stone piece (16 total), then have them find the matching number on the green paper, and tape or glue them down. To assess the ability to follow directions from a text, I have written directions included. Each step is broken down to be able to complete the project. Use the sun or a flashlight to see how the light shines through Stonehenge. This is a perfect project for studying an equinox or the seasons. I drew each stone block and the base too. I love making learning "hands-on" for my students, and they loved this project! A map is included as well for the students to find the location they have just studied. The map can be used to create a "Geoexplorers" notebook, and they can revisit the map to show where they have explored. Passports are included if you choose to do more of my "Geoexplorer" lessons. Each lesson includes a unique "Stamp" about the area they have just studied so that they can add it to their passport. Your students can travel the globe in their seats, and they will wonder where you are going to take them next! Just look for more "Geoexplorer" projects in my shop :) Pages Included: Pages 1/2: Description and pictures Page 3: Directions Pages 4 & 5: Stonehenge blocks (Print on white paper) Page 6: Stonehenge base (Print on green paper) Page 7: Stonehenge Passport Stamp Page 8: Passport page 1 and 2 Page 9: Blank passport pages Page 10: Map of other Geoexplorer locations Credits: Any artwork or photographs included in this unit are original art created by myself, and are copyrighted 2020 by Jessi Klancke :) Reproduction without my consent is prohibited.

An artist that could easily convert these drawings into a book with architectural illustrations. Oğuzhan Çengel, has been featured before here on DesignStack, that is for the calibre of his drawings and the professional way in which he displays them. Each drawing / building comes with a two page layout, on what looks like a Moleskine diary or journal. The two pages are mixture of plans, elevations and isometric drawings, beautifully framed by Çengel's writing. i really hope that someone notices his work and commissions it to be made into a book, it would be a shame and a loss if they didn't. Wondering what to do in Amsterdam in 3 days?! Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. It is filled with so much history, charming streets, and architecture with the character that it is easy to get lost in. Amsterdam is not only beautiful, but also hip
An artist fascinated with the buildings and history that populate our cities and nations. Jerome Tryon, predominately uses Graphite and ink, to fill the pages of his moleskine drawing book, with fantastic sketches plus notes, of the places and buildings he visits. On his Instagram page, he takes the time to explain a little bit more about the history of the building, or/and the experiences that took place whilst sketching in situ (in place / on the spot). Most of the drawings that are in the post, represent his trip to Rome, one of the exceptions is of the Berlin Museum. Enjoy the tour of these historic buildings, courtesy of Tryon.
